Kristina Paunovski
Kristina Paunovski was born in Rijeka. Currently, she studies at the Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) in Ljubljana. She completed the study program Event and Leisure Management (Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management), earning a Bachelor’s in Economics (univ. bacc. oec.). She also attended the Dance Teacher study program at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK) Academy of Dance (2010/2011). She is the manager of the K2K Dance Centre, where she teaches dance, choreography, and assumes the role of moderator. She is the founder of the ARTissue platform that focuses on the movement and visual arts research. The focus of Kristina’s work is on the research of contemporary and hip-hop vocabulary. She is interested in boundaries between physical and virtual, underground and commercial. Inclusion in cultural and creative industries is another field of Kristina’s interest. She is the author of the works Body Exhibition ‒ Izložba tijela, ARTissue ‒ Situacije (Situations), Photo Exhibition, and various site-specific performances. She has cooperated with the Ivan Zajc Croatian National Theatre (choreographer in theatre play Alfa Romeo Jankovits by the Italian Drama Department, dancer in EVITA musical, performer in plays Grit, Games of Zen, Jukebox etc.), and she organizes the creativity festival kRIˈeɪshən project 14’15’17 in Rijeka.
